Miles Franklin’s newest Associate Writer – Bill Holter – has an innate ability to find relevant stories where no one else is looking.  Sometimes, such items are hard to find because they are purposely hidden, while sometimes they are too uninteresting to yield widespread coverage; and sometimes, the purveyors simply aren’t “advertising savvy.”  In this case, we’re talking about the U.S. government, so a little of each applies – EXACTLY what I am writing of today.

As long-time readers know, I last year read Atlas Shrugged – perhaps, the best book I have EVER read, and ominously, as apropos as 1984, Blade Runner, Brazil, and V for Vendetta combined.  In it, Ayn Rand brilliantly describes the “cycle of socialism” that ALWAYS results from fiat Ponzi Schemes, ending in big government, societal decay, and eventually – MASS DESTRUCTION.  Her tale – purposely avoiding dates – engenders the final years of one such society, also here in America.

At that point, all entrepreneurship had been eliminated by government decree – in the name of the “greater good” – where a handful of elite, but moronic  politicians sought to “control” America via economic, political, and social strangulation.  At first, the Ron Paul’s, Eric Sprott’s, Jim Sinclair’s – and RANTING ANDYs – fought to restore the public’s will to embrace reality and save itself, but eventually the cacophony of babel drowned them out.  Most perished – mentally and physically – and a handful escaped to “Galt’s Gulch,” never to be heard from again.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a Galt’s Gulch, and I don’t expect one anytime soon.  Thus, our band of TRUTH SEEKERS must fight the same battle as Hank Reardon and Dagny Taggart; to EDUCATE – and PROTECT – as many as possible before the deluge of chaos submerges society.  And that day is coming right soon, based on the moral, spiritual, and ethical degradation we witness each day – from reality TV, to spoiled children, to criminal bankers and politicians.

These stories pale compared to what we saw at the end of Atlas Shrugged – such as ‘railroad rations’ and ‘destruction machines’ – until NOW, per the insane item Bill Holter found, and wrote about, last weekend:

I had no plans to write anything today, I planned to take my horse out for a long casual ride and have some breakfast about 8 or 10 miles from the stables.  Like an apparent DUMB ASS I figured on actually PAYING for my breakfast and giving a buck or two if I could get a bucket of water for my compadre Principe’, stupid me!  Before you read any further, please read the 2 links above, before I go any further I apologize for what you about to read because I am SO PISSED and disillusioned that words can’t describe it..but I’ll try.  Please feel free to pass this piece one as those who are unaware need to know just how stupid our “central planners” really are.

USDA uses Spanish soap operas to push food stamp participation among non-citizens, citizens

Feds Encourage Food Stamps: Helps Local Economies, ‘Everyone Wins’

So, the USDA has done 11 “novellas” for radio to “encourage” people to get on the food stamps program.  First off, ALL the ads are in Spanish, which for me is no problem but what about other “taxpayers” who fund this program who can’t speak Spanish?  They don’t even know what the hell is being said much less that this program is encouraging NON CITIZENS to apply.  Without going on too much of a tangent here, I have 2 thoughts.  First, the ads should be in English and ONLY English as that is (was) the language of this country!  Second, “non citizens”?  Get the hell out, go home and beg your own government for food assistance.  We lived in Costa Rica and learned Spanish because that is their language and we were living (legally with papers no less) in THEIR country.  What kind of schmuck would go to another country, not learn the local language and expect the entire country to cater to them in a FOREIGN language?  DO THE ADS IN ENGLISH.  Period!

These “novellas” (Spanish for “soap opera”) are encouraging as many people as possible to “take advantage” (great concept) of free food.  Isn’t over 45 Million participants already enough?  It is already 15 % of the population, what is their goal, 100%?  Everyone?  …and the supposed reasoning to spreading this program as far and as wide as they can?  STIMULUS!  Yes, they claim that every $5 given out creates $10 in GDP to which I call total [email protected]#!% on.  It does nothing of the sort, it does nothing other than encourage laziness and attracts even more illegal aliens to enter our borders.  I can see the plans for future “growth” since our “planners” believe this is such a great program, with each month’s SNAP card comes a month’s supply of Viagra and Spanish Fly.  Now that’s REAL stimulus and it will promote more mouths to feed and creates the next, larger generation of lazy derelicts looking for free food On a side note, how perverse would it be when (not if) the banking system collapses and credit/debit cards don’t work?  The only cards that will work are the SNAP cards!  You work, save, take risks your whole life and for what?  So your bank balance gets gobbled up and you get cut off from food for survival while a bunch of illegal aliens who sit on their asses still get free food?  On another small tangent, I recall hearing that Homeland Security considers you a “terrorist” if you have more than 3 days food stocked up, I would like to correct this just a little bit.  It should read, “If you only have 3 days of food stocked up, you are an idiot”!  What a country?  Only in America?  What else can be said?  Please view this, a MUST 3 min watch and 100% true.

I read these links last night after having a few beers and started ranting at full volume, my lovely wife came into the room and asked, “what’s wrong honey?”  I unplugged my laptop and told her to read the two links above.  5 Minutes later, after laughing her ass off, she started to rant!  She said, “Can you imagine what we would be saying about any other country that implemented a plan like this and claimed that it would “stimulate” the economy?  They would be the laughing stock of the entire world!”  Which…maybe that’s how foreigners actually view us?  Ya think?

I do want to remind you, WE (because we print Dollars) are the foundation to the entire world’s financial system.  Can it really be that our plans to “fix” the economy’s woes is to hand out free food?  Another “stimulus plan” that was “shovel ready” according to our fearless leader and would turn the economy upwards was the roads and bridges project.  I must admit, I had forgotten about this one with all of the other bull#@$%spin that needs to get filtered out each day.  This was going to put good, hard working people to work so that they could stand on their own two feet and not rely on welfare, unemployment, food stamps or anything else.  Well…guess what?  Diane Sawyer just did a piece showing how this plan has panned out…or didn’t.  It turns out that the contracts were awarded to Chinese firms.  Yes, they do build good roads and bridges but…America, made in China?  Can you believe this #@$%?  I’m sorry, I don’t think that our country could be on a worse trajectory if it were run by our enemies.  Can you imagine a President Putin, Vice President Chavez, Sec. of State Jintao, Speaker of the House Ahmadinejad and Chief justice Castro running the country?  Would we be in worse shape?  At least we would be buying Gold instead of covertly selling it and repatriating what’s overseas, we’d be building our own roads and bridges and accumulating the resources we’d need for the future, we’d be drilling for oil and working toward energy self sufficiency.  Oh yes, we’d be able to smoke a good cigar while admiring our work!

What ever happened to the concept of “self reliance”?  We have become the absolute antithesis of what our founding fathers were.  Our country was founded 236 years ago, it was based on hard work, liberty and freedom to do whatever you wanted as long as it didn’t infringe upon others’ rights, laws were framed by common sense and it was considered “shameful” to accept a handout.  We have become lazy, given up our liberties for “security” and lost freedoms as even breathing has become offensive to the point of an impending carbon tax.  Now, not only does everyone want something for nothing and handouts for free, the government is now PROMOTING it as an economic stimulus.  A shameful travesty to say the least…were pretty much screwed to tell the truth! 

Per below, this expensive “trial balloon” was pulled back following widespread criticism, but its existence cannot be erased.  Big government has gone hog wild in its quest for COMMUNIST control – per my June 29th RANT, “S.C.O.T.U.S.  CHANGES U.S.A. to R.U.S.S.I.A.” – and it’s only a matter of time before suicidal programs such as this not only proliferate, but overwhelm the remaining forces of CAPITALISM and SANITY…

The USDA has deleted their “novellas” from their website and cancelled radio spots playing them…maybe they took some major flack for such foolishness. In any case, you have seen their “mindset” and hopefully can read between the lines.

Finally, Bill puts a giant EXCLAMATION POINT on this lunacy with the following witticism…

The definition of irony:
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever. Meanwhile, the National Park Service – administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior – asks us “Please, Do Not Feed the Animals.”  Their stated reason is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and thus, not learn to take care of themselves.  Perhaps the National Park Service should run the Food Stamp program (which, by the way, is run by none other than JP Morgan!).
