Most of you won’t do anything about this, but at least you should know who it is that conscripted your wealth.
It’s not just the current group in Washington and Wall Street that are to blame. Heck, it’s been going on for a couple of hundred years. At least now there is internet and people can get the truth, if they are interested.
When Susan and I arrived in Miami, our Comcast system was out of order (TV, phone and Internet) and while we waited (11-days) for wireless internet to be installed, we had a lot of free “no TV” time on our hands. I purchased the first three seasons of Hell on Wheels and the first three seasons of Boardwalk Empire on DVD. We stayed up late, every night, watching hour after hour of these two exceptional series. We finished Hell on Wheels and are half way through season two of Boardwalk Empire. These are both outstanding series. Along with Breaking Bad and Ray Donovan, they are the best entertainment on TV. There are corrupt politicians who take orders from wealthy power hungry bankers and power brokers. Just like it is now – nothing has changed since our founding fathers gave us a Constitution and the wisdom to be free – if we could hold onto it. We didn’t! We accepted a central bank (the Fed) and allowed Wall Street to run wild without fear of any paying for their crimes (other than slap-on-the-wrist fines). Our politicians are, for the most part, a disgrace. Even Main Stream CNBC’s Jim Cramer is fed up. He said:
Smart money should look for any possible means to flee the dollar. The United States is “a laughing stock around the world, maybe worse than Italy in some ways when I look at benchmarks,” he said on Squawk Box. “We have obviously lost the faith of a lot of countries.
If there is a way to get your money out of this country, Cramer suggests putting it in Germany and he even suggests buying gold. “If I were in the shoes of China, Kuwait, Brazil or Japan, I would do it immediately.
This is a good opportunity — between now and the next wrangle — where you can find a safe haven. Whether it be gold, whether it be the euro or whether it be, frankly, the Chinese currency.
The Chinese do not squawk. The Chinese do not complain,” Cramer said.
He pointed out that gold soared over $30 an ounce during the trade on Thursday. “Obviously” someone was putting money into the metal instead of the dollar.”

This has been going on for over two centuries. Nothing happening today is new. It’s just more of the same.
And here we are in 2013 – just like in the TV series from 1865 and 1920. Below is an article from Zero Hedge:
“New York Is Drowning In Bribes And Corruption”
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 10/19/2013 – 21:33
Public corruption, based on all the evidence, appears rampant. And the ranks of those convicted in office have swelled to absolutely unacceptable levels. State Senators as well as State Assemblymen; elected officials as well as party leaders; city council members as well as town mayors; Democrats as well as Republicans.
– Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York
It’s no surprise that New York is exceedingly corrupt. It’s a huge city, with a ton of wealth and massive income inequality. That’s basically the primary breeding ground for wide-scale corruption. However, it also comes as no surprise that the situation has gotten a lot worse in recent years. After all, NYC is the headquarters of some of the largest financial institutions in the world. As such, some of the worst actors in the recent financial collapse call the city home. The whole world watched as these criminals and shysters not only evaded criminal charges, but were also rewarded trillions of dollars of public support for their efforts. The example was set. Crime pays, and now the entire city seems to be following their lead.
Before I move forward, here is a short YouTube video I would like you to watch. Some people are irate at what is going on in Washington. What is surprising is that it was presented on Main Stream TV over at MSNBC…
too bad it won’t happen that way. I used to be into politics, now I won’t play their game. you can’t beat them or change things. I just try to take care of me, my family and 3-4 close friends. we have our own central bank and stay out of the system as much as possible. it will implode and it will be ugly. look at it like the weather, you can’t sto[p bad weather but you can be prepared to deal with and survive it.
“Nothing has changed”
Although I fully understand where you are coming from, the title is something I can now honestly say I disagree with – and it’s crept up on me only recently. After more than a decade (I’m a child of the 70’s) of trading and understanding this debacle of a system we’ve been born into, my concerns have been high for how it’s all going to turn out – even to the point of moving country.
However, over the last year or so – and it seems this year especially, has seen – to quote Highlander, a quickening.
There’s been a noticeable increase in the uptake of knowledge by those who have been asleep – all over the world. Their changing circumstances and exponential access to information – and more importantly, the non-MSM alternative media point of view are all playing their part. This is leading more and more it seems, to want to understand ‘why’ and ultimately arrive at the big question, ‘who benefits’ – and how did they get this power in the first place.
If you haven’t seen the video below, I believe you’ll understand my recent change in perspective after watching as it epitomises what seems to be a blossoming in changing attitudes. Education is something that can’t be taxed or lent or have interest added – long may it continue.

The ONLY way to beat these folks is to walk away from their system and let it collapse of it’s own accord. They own the Fortune 500, the Wall Street banks, the national chains. So, buy everything local, put your money in a local credit union, and grow much of your own food.
If every American did even 25% of their shopping with small, private, local merchants, the global elite would be out of money in a year. If we increased our local purchases to 50%, they’d be out of money (their life line) in 6 months or less.
No shots needed to be fired, no riots, no OWS, just peaceful, local purchases versus the chains and Fortune 500 firms.
