President Obama, from a recent town hall meeting, actually had the nerve to say the following “We’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.” He says this at the same time that he has his hand so far down my pocket I almost feel dirty. It is my hope that anti- capitalist nonsense like this will finally bring the Libertarian movement mainstream.
Three years ago, both the Republican and Democratic establishment laughed and scorned the presidential candidacy of Ron Paul. Paul was been painted as soft on defense and too radical on welfare programs. He is a Libertarian, a movement that believes people should do whatever they want as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. That sounds great doesn’t it? Today he is in a statistical tie with Obama in the 2012 polling. Perhaps people are finally getting ticked off at what is happening around them as thugs like Goldman Sachs, and the other Wall Street vampires bleed dry the treasury and the American public at America’s weakest moment in a generation. This, while receiving bonus checks larger than most Americans will make in a lifetime.
