Before November’s Presidential election, I wrote of my “new definition” of the famous Bill Clinton campaign slogan, “It’s the Economy, Stupid”…

Bill Clinton famously coined the term “It’s the economy, stupid” in his 1992 Presidential campaign; and no truer words have been said.  However, what used to imply voting out incumbents during bad economic times has morphed to an entirely different meaning today.  Care of an INFLATION MACHINE gone berserk – i.e, the government’s ONLY means of staving off inevitable, imminent COLLAPSE; HALF of all Americans depend on entitlements to SURVIVE.  Thus – as in 1933 Germany – “It’s the economy stupid” now ensures the majority votes for whoever promises the most FREE MONEY; which is EXACTLY what Mitt Romney was criticized for stating last month – and why Obama should easily be re-elected.

Now that the American public has resoundingly mandated a socialist – bordering on communist – society, I’ve given a bit more thought to the concept.  It’s been formulating in my mind over the past three months; finally, solidifying after reading the below headline…

The Looming Republican Crackup Over the Sequester

Since the post-2008 financial collapse, INFLATION, UNEMPLOYMENT, and DEBT have dominated the American (and global) landscape.  Consequently, entitlements have EXPLODED…

…as has abuse of an increasingly bureaucratic welfare system…

While this tragedy has unfolded, debt issuance – of all kinds – has EXPLODED.  In fact, debt has grown dramatically under EVERY President since Nixon abandoned the gold standard in 1971; Democrats and Republicans alike…

My view has ALWAYS been that financially, Republicans are no more “conservative” than Democrats are “liberal.”  BOTH parties have ruined the nation with uncontrolled taxes, spending, and – above all – money printing; although they certainly are good at pretending their views differ.

Fortunately for Democrats, their “platform” revolves around “helping the poor, at the expense of the rich.”  Thus, they were able to maintain Senate control amidst 2010’s economic CATASTROPHE; and subsequently, the Senate and Presidency in 2012.

Meanwhile, the once-powerful Republicans have stumbled and bumbled; desperately trying to recoup votes while clinging to their own long-time reputation – as “party of the rich”; which unfortunately, doesn’t work when the MAJORITY of the nation is poor – and growing more so each day…

When Karl Rove was brainwashing the public a decade ago, people voted Republican because they believed they were “richer” from the Greenspan-fostered credit and real estate bubbles.  However, now that they’ve popped (and Bernanke can’t reflate them), many of the former “Middle” and “Upper Middle” classes have fallen to the “Lower” rung; and thus, rely on ENTITLEMENTS to survive

Entitlement Nation: Half of Americans Receive Government Benefits

…and thus, with even the hope of a return to status gone, the “Party of the Poor” – i.e., Democrats – is growing stronger

In 2010, a group of Republicans “rebranded” themselves as the Tea Party; in an attempt to dissociate from the “Party of the Rich” moniker holding them down.  You can decide if it was a “marketing scheme” or a genuine movement; but I suspect somewhere in between.  Either way, the Tea Party largely failed to gain political or financial traction; particularly after MAJOR gaffes – like putting a “witch” on the Delaware Senate ballot…

Midterms 2010: Tea Party ‘witch’ Christine O’Donnell loses in Delaware

Don’t’ get me wrong; I admire the entrepreneurship.  However, as stated above, “it’s the economy, stupid” has an entirely different meaning today.  Republicans can no longer use it as a rallying cry to garner votes during a recession, as voters will only consider who offers the most entitlements.

And if anyone hasn’t been watching, the Republican-controlled House has FAILED to slow down – or even challenge – the “tax and spend” proposals of the Senate and White House…

Plan B‘ Vote Spiked In House in Major Setback for Boehner

Going forward, I strongly believe the Republican Party will lose further power as the U.S. economy sinks deeper into the ABYSS; and more and more Americans officially join the ranks of the “poor.”  Desperate people support desperate measures; which is EXACTLY why Obama gains strength as the economy loses it.  This is why civil rights are being extracted without dispute EVERY DAY; either via Congressional vote (in RARE shows of bipartisanship)…

National Defense Authorization Act

…or increasingly, by “Executive Order”…

National Defense Resources Preparedness

Eventually, I expect “social issues” to be ENTIRELY de-emphasized in political campaigns; and subsequently, the Democratic and Republican parties to “morph” into a single, big-government enforcing TERROR ORGANIZATION.  Throughout history, such hopeless economic scenarios (particularly following CURRENCY COLLAPSES) have fostered the rise of powerful, ruthless – and, of course, charismatic demagogues – and subsequently, “ONE-PARTY FASCISM”; which sadly, I fear is in store for America…
