The Kraken is the first coin issued in the new “Creatures of the North Series” from the Royal Canadian Mint. This limited release coin features the mighty Kraken tearing apart a three-masted ship and dragging it beneath the waves. This fierce monster is stunningly displayed on this special 2oz pure .9999 silver Canadian legal tender coin. The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II, as do all Commonwealth coins. Also features a micro-engraved maple leaf laser mark in the coin’s field. In the center of the mark, visible under magnification, is the numeral “20”, denoting the coin’s year of issue.
