Andy,
I’m torn between buying $4000 worth of MS 64 Morgan Silver Dollars(lowest premium ever) or putting the $4000 into bullion silver( I currently have several thousand ounces of silver bullion). IYHO, Are ounces of silver what counts or do you think a bit of diversity in numismatics is a good idea given their scarcity
/leverage to spot price?
Thanks I appreciate you opinion.
Tom
There is no wrong answer, and diversifying is never a bad thing.
However, we advise clients to be careful about numismatics, unless they are expert collectors or the premium falls to the point that it’s not much more than the underlying bullion.
Of course, everyone should own at least a little junk silver, for the worst-case scenario (/must-own-junk-silver).
